These are ingenious and highly adaptive, but they have limitations.
--  If I've bought a frying pan, they can recommend a pot--or even olive oil.
--  What if I'm looking for an accountant?
--  Their pattern recognition depends on accumulating sales data.
--  Nothing gets recommended until it's been bought a significant number of times.
--  The technique is much better suited to established items than to unfamiliar ones.
--  The Internet's most natural rich-content niche (for now) is lesser-known material.
